CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Bellovaci. Circa 60-30/25 BC. Quarter Stater (Gold, 12 mm, 1.51 g, 1 h), 'à l'astre' type. Devolved and disjointed male head to right, with prominent nose, big eye and a star on the temple. Rev. Horse galloping right; above and below, radiant suns. DT 272. LT 7239. SLM -. Very well centered and clear. Thin flan crack and with light deposits on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
